Hello karan, Could you please give us the exact address of the webpage?
It seems that the URL is not working or the page might have been removed.
I am really willing to see the article if there is really some direct connection between stress and the immune system.
Cheers. Taj

Yes, stress damages your immune system. Think of your body like a machine...when there is too much workload or pressure then the machine deteriorates much faster. Stress lowers your immune system, destroys normal breathing patterns (which is the core of your health), raises blood pressure, increases weight gain (through the creation of Cortisol), and destroys your ability to deal with change in your day to day life.
Luckily stress is easy to get rid of but first you have to accept that you created it. Stress is not created by the circumstances that you are in, it is created by your choice to over-analyze those circumstances. Relaxation is the state of being Present and this cannot be accomplished while you are juggling thought. It doesn't take much to get out of thought, just a little practice and the determination to focus on the simplest things. Breathe in and out...nothing else. Just focus on your breath going in slowly and out slowly. Close your eyes, slow it down some more.
Remember that thoughts will always be in your mind but it is your attention to them that causes them to grow and breed more thoughts. This is why stress often feels like a bottomless pit that you can fall into...because we try to think our way out of it (and that's how it started)

From experience, when I am stressed out I easily catch the flu, I find that with good rest and fruits and sometimes some multivitamins I bounce right back.

Yes, stress can damage your immune system. Quite a few studies exist showing the effects of long term stress and the decreased ability of the immune system to fight of adversaries.
