I know another person who has an abusive spouse and won't do anything about it but get stressed out. How can I convince this woman she need to get out of the situation?

The abused normally stay in their current situation for various reasons, they may feel that they can't possible live without the abusive spouse or they financially dependent on the person. It may not be easy to leave, she needs to plan towards it.

Its very hard. I left an abusive spouse when I really had nothing. He made sure I had nothing-its all part of it.
In part they may hope to change the person. In part they may feel worthless after dealing with it so long. Try and support the person as best you can.
