Regarding vegetarian protein sources, I found this this interesting:
High Protein Vegetables – Their Requirements, Advantages And Sources
Regarding Omega 3 sources, Flax seeds and Walnuts are good sources. Here's what I do: Lightly roast flax seed and then grind it and store it in refrigerator. I then use it along with my breakfast.
However, one must not store the powder for more than a week as it might turn rancid.

Hi Vishal,
Useful article link. I guess I have been eating a fairly amino acid rich diet for several years according to the article.
It also states the importance of the variety of amino acids and luckily I've been doing that as well.
We do have flax seed in our breads and cereals but I like your tip about roasting them and storing them in the fridge. I'll give that a shot. In the USA, they sell flax seed oil. I drink it straight from the bottle whenever we buy it. Flax also has some omega 3 and other valuable minerals.
Here's a nice link about flax:

I also eat a whole 12 ounce block of raw tofu each week plus we make a lot of dishes with tofu in them. I love tofu.
We buy a lot of meat substitutes in the form of patties. We don't miss animal meat at all.

Newbie,
Not to argue against you but I have read a lot of negative things about Soybean. I don't know how far it's true. Here's an interesting website:

Hi Vishal,
Interesting read.
I suppose it's possible. Doubt it though. Who knows who's behind it and why. American Dairy Association would be my first guess.
You don't have to look on the net long before you find a nay sayer for just about everything out there.

Very true. You can't believe everything you read on the net. But I know quite a few holistic health practitioners here who advocate against using soy products. So I thought I would refer it to you
