What is the chemical action that causes a reduction of stress and anxiety after vigorous exercise?

One of the documented facts of exercise is that it helps release endorphins, our brain's feel-good hormones. Exercising also helps reduce stress hormones.

Apart from that, exercise also acts like meditation. When you exercise, you don't worry about anything. Your entire focus is on exercising, in the present moment. Each of our body part has some connection to the mind. When you focus on the body with complete awareness, it relaxes the mind, thereby reducing stress.

Exercising is a really wonderful stress reliever. In fact just before I registered here I finished my workout-and I exercise probably five times a week. I have to-it is one of the biggest feel goods in my life.

Of course I cannot testify to the endorphins as I couldn't tell you whether or not that happens (from an anecdotal point of view) but from the point of meditation, it is wonderful. Total distraction!

many exercises are suggested to improve mental condition along with the physical one. i have never tried aerobics, but have heard alot about them.

do they really help? i want to know from someone who really noticed remarkable changes.

in the far east, at present there are different variations of aerobics being practised. do u have any idea?

looking forward for your replies,
tajvi
