I have a friend the Military and he is under a lot of stress. He has come to me for help, but I have no clue in this matter. He doesn't want to go to the Military for help. Any suggestions?

As much as he doesn't want to go to them for help, I understand that they have good support don't they-wouldn't he be eligible for free counselling and so on? Might help him.
Beyond that, listen to him. If he needs a listening ear then be what he needs.

I dunno. I've heard some freaky things about military and psych problems lately. I don't know if I would want to go to them or not. I do believe he needs to discover what is the root of his problem, but then he can probably do that with a friend.

Yes he has told me stories of his fellow Marines that are getting held back because they have talked to psych. Like being over looked for promotion because of it. This is what scares him.
