I think music also can reduce stress, depends on the type of music that you listen to, there are times that when i'm so stressed, i get the tendency to listen to happy songs, so that i can just avoid thinking too much, and i feel that i have reduced my stress.

Music can help reduce stress, ease your mind and relax your body. The music preference will depend on the listener though, some may prefer slow and soft music while others may prefer hard and fast music.

Yes, music is great for releasing stress.

I think there are 2 ways that music can do this.

If you want to just chill out, listen to gentle, slow music - classical or something like slow jazz.

But if you want to release some pent up stress, anxiety or anger, then I find there's nothing like singing along to something really loud and raunchy at the top of your voice!

I think it really depends on the type of music that you listen to. In a lot of cases, even if you really enjoy certain music it can only contribute to the stress if it's not properly selected. Obviously everyone is different, but I would think that slow, soothing music would be the only way to. The slower and more soothing the better.

according to me, music actually attracts the mind it moreover diverts the concentration but mostly people get energized with it. majorly people listen in a completely relaxed mode so it also relies on the factor elimination of stress by relaxing & coming to the part dependence on the music. it can be the person as people who wanna have a sweet life like to listen to songs from family movies which actually fills the demand of having a small happy family. so nature of a person ex. upcoming singers listen regularly to legendary singers best. they never get tired nor stressed no were feel off with it & try to know more. yes, it is exception of law of demand it is some like to bifurcate for a time.

Listening to music can release our stress, especially listening to sentimental music. Our mind will follow the rhythm of the music, and feel more relax as sentimental music is very relaxing. So why not grab your ipod or any audio player and listen to sentimental songs now to release stress? Of course, everyone has their own choice of music to release their stress.

I think music can have a big emotional impact and as stress is often caused by an emotional state could really help.

I've started listening to the CALMRADIO on itunes under radio ambient.

Music can reduce stress depending on your preferred beat. I think if you're mad at someone or to what happened to you that day, hard rock or alternative is soothing especially when you sing with it. I'm not sure if it's only me but everytime I'm angry, I feel like wanting to shout so loud so my only way to do it is sing with an alternative music. After one song play, I am normal again. I was able to let go of my anger.

Different beats of music you listen to will depend on your mood and on that you currently feel so for me, it relieves my stress all the time.

Music has a lot of health benefits. In addition to stress relief, music is a good pain killer, it also reduces heart rate, blood pressure and slows breathing down. In addition music stimulates brain cells.

Probably the best thing is that music makes other stress relief and relaxation techniques more effective.

That's a good point greatrelaxation. Music is synergistic with other stress relief techniques. Just find music genres that you find soothing and push play. It's one of the easiest ways to feel better in the moment.

Music works in several ways to relax and calm the mind and body! But the key here is to choose the music that you like and are comfortable with. Soft soothing music enhanced with nature sounds will calm the mind so you can think more clearly. The body can be relaxed as well with this method.
Including music and nature sounds during a meditation will make for a great relaxation experience.

There is a definite connection between music and stress relief. A friend of mine is a therapeutic doctor and his practice is based upon this well-know fact.
In his research, he has found that the music of Mozart (the art of love), Beethoven (the art of ration/reason) and Bach (the art of movement) have astounding effects on his patients.
