If i am avoiding a situation, it is because of four reasons.
1.I expect physical pain.
2.I expect mental pain.
3.I expect physical pain due to uncontrollable mental expectations.
4.I expect mental pain due to physical discomfort.
It is easy to digest physical pain, if my mind is expecting and prepared for the amount of physical pain. Only if the physical pain too much, i will try to escape from the situation.
Only shutting of rationalizing my vision and hearing capacity in any possible way, i can digest any mental pain.
If i have to undergo any mental process where i can not stop rationalizing, it is difficult to digest that mental or physical pain arising from the thinking process.
How can i keep my mind switched off, if i have to go through such a situation?
Self hypnosis? Can i just surrender to the situation, and escape to goa mentally?
Vipassana? Can i become a non emotional third party for myself?
Suppose i have hypertension which shoots up at doctors clinic due to expectations about the readings.
Suppose i have to go through enormous physical pain, with complete tolerance by body and mind.
How do i separate my mind from my body, and surrender to either physical or mental pain?

Vipassana (or watching with detachment) is the only way. The more you practice it, the better you'll get at it till you can totally disidentify with your body at will.

The Only Reality.

If you believe like me that the only reality is thought, and its due to its suggestion and the habits we form that we run our lives based on suppositions.
Its therefore equeally true that the problem and the answer is already an "intuned" truth , so which ever way we persieve the problem, the mind and our thoughst have been conditioned to anticipate it.
So we re act in accordance with its sugetion....for there is little action but enormous re action.

If for eg. your hypertention rises as a consequence and in anticipation of the test, you are simply follow the old age path of assumption and reaction.
We are what we are due to how we percieve what we are because we think we are who we are.
My suggestion ( for what its worth) is to accept that we have little control of the river and merely coax our canoe with an ocasional steer and hope to get lucky.
