How do you deal with your stress when everything in your life seems to be going haywire? Do you breathe or do something else?

Well stopping breathing is really a very bad thing

I would try first to walk away. Go to the bathroom and just try to meditate for a few minutes with an aim to relaxing. It is very important to not let it escalate, and the earlier you can walk away the better.

Involve yourself is something completely different, say a visit to the nearby amusement park. The idea here is to completely distract yourself. While it may appear easy enough, dragging yourself out of the current problem will appear to be a gargantuan task. The mind will appear to be so preoccupied and attached to the current problem that it would appear almost impossible to break off.

I think if you simply try to avoid the issue, it won't bring you a permanent solution. You should try to face your problem and try to find out a permanent solution.

Very often we find improvised methods of avoiding a problem. Sometimes they seem to be quick and instant solution of a problem. But after sometime, the old problem which had been dormant for a while, awakens with a greater strength.
