One thing you'll often notice is that people who are stressed rarely have a smile on the face. And people who smile often, don't get stressed quickly. And when they do get, it's for a brief period.
Here's an exercise I would like you to take when you are stressed (and also when you are not!). Stand in front of a mirror. Raise your arms and smile. Raising arms (like laughing buddha) helps a lot in bringing a natural smile on the face. Try the difference with and without raising arms.
Keep the smile for as long as you can. Bring down the arms when they start aching.
Repeat this exercise as many number of times as possible in a day.
One important thing to watch for is to avoid making any judgments regarding your smile/face/body. It's common in all of us to start judging ourselves the moment we see ourselves in the mirror. Don't do that. Just watch. Initially it'll be tough (if you have never smiled at yourself in the mirror) and all sorts of thoughts will arrive like - oh my teeth are not aligned, I have dark circles under my eyes, I have got a wrinkle However, after 3-4 times, you'll stop judging and start loving the experience.
I bet you'll love this exercise more than anything else Let me know your experience.

We need to reduce stress in life. One way of doing it is by laughing. Most people know laughter as a result of looking at something amusing or hearing some jokes. However, I am talking about Laughter as medicine. It is a gift for survival. Did you know that Mumbai (Bombay) is the home of Laughter Clubs and the origin of World Laughter Day? You are on the sea beach on a hot sunny day. Dr. Madan Kataria, one of the original laughter therapy doctors, is there to supervise your session. Dr. Kataria is a jovial, energetic, laughter-loving physician. He has been an advisor or starter of over a 100 Laughter Clubs throughout India. He describes and prescribes and practices many varieties of laughter. Some of these are · hearty laugh · medium laugh · arm swinging laugh, and · one meter laugh. · cocktail laugh · silent laugh with month wide open · jumping laugh with mouth closed Many benefits are attributed to the deliberate laughing as an exercise. Doctors have endorsed it. I will only say this for the time being: "Why cry, when you can laugh your way out of misery?

You are exactly correct Vishal !
The session with the mirror was a really good experience.
Initially I was thinking the way you told. At certain point, I wasn't looking at my face rather looking at my eyes. And after sometime, I felt like smiling and seeing that very smiling face and eyes, I couldn't stop my hearty laugh.
It was a good experience. I just love it. Thank you !
