What stress reduction technique works best for you? I rate oil massage the highest among all. The effects are immediate and they last long. It also gives me good sleep.

Hi Vishal,

Yes oil massage is way at the top of my list - perhaps number one - of the best stress reduction techniques.

I especially like medium deep tissue rubs with deep penetration is some areas.

It deeply relaxes my body for several days. I used to get one every week. I should go back to it.

I used to combine massage, walking, stretching, and meditating to really loosen up and relax. That combination really helped to get the energy flowing throughout my entire body.

Hello Newbie Shield!
Thank you for the techniques you are giving. What kind of oil is it? Do you have a special brand name. How you do it? I need some help please.

Thank you

You can safely start with Coconut or Sesame oil in which few drops of your favorite essential oil has been added.

Warm the oil a bit by placing the oil container in warm water before applying on your body. This facilitates better absorption. Dip your finger tips in the oil and apply all over the body. Once you are done, slowly massage your entire body, part by part, with your fingers and palm. Use circular motion for your chest, abdomen and joints and straight strokes for your arms and legs. Be fully aware of the body part you are massaging. Imagine all the tension and stress getting dissolved in the oil. Spend more time on your ears, soles and palms. There are vital reflexology points in these areas. It is said that even if you don't get time for a full body massage, a good oil massage to your soles can deliver equivalent benefits. Wait for about half an hour for the oil to get absorbed by your body. Follow up with a warm shower.
