I attended a time management course yesterday and it opened my eyes to many things, the chief of which, the things that needs to be done, must be organized in four quadrants or areas. Urgent and important, important but not urgent, urgent/not important, not important/not urgent.
I will take some time to organize myself and see if I am less stressed.

Where did you find the info on such a class? I find myself not having enough time all the time. This would work great for me.

Hi Mika,
It sounds like a helpful class. It's been my experience that listing and prioritizing tasks can be very helpful.
If you'd like to take it to a new level, you might look into Project Management.
You can put your tasks in a word processor or a spreadsheet. You order them according to your priority categories and assign a time frame estimate for each task.
The time frame estimate will help you determine how many tasks you can expect to complete in a given day. As you gain more experience, you'll become very good with your estimates.
It can be a big help in relieving stress and improving efficiency and productivity in general.
I imagine they taught you something similar in your class.

I find it intimidating to begin a project... it seems impossible to complete so much in so little time. I know that two things help a lot- don't waste time and start ASAP and "divide and conquer". Dividing the task into small manageable parts makes it look attainable and even easy. My problem is that even knowing all that I still don't actually do it and leave it for the last moment.
